11/08/2022 Happy election day! Sadly, work has kept me so busy, I'm not getting around to making and logging some Halloween-related updates until well after the festivities. But who says you can't be spooky year-round?
Since my last update, I:
- Gave the Caroline Moore shrine a spooky new layout.
- Tonight, I updated this page with some new content surrounding a recent music video release!
- Shared some sexy Halloween-themed desktop wallpapers in the Gays Only section.
- Added a new feature to the teen mag shrine. It's an editor's letter/mission statement/manifesto reflecting on the impact teen magazines made on me and hinting at some of my plans for future content.
Work should be slowing down soon and I won't be traveling as much this year for the Holidays, so I'm hoping to have some down time to do more on this site. I'm getting the bug again!
9/22/2022 Annoyingly, I've been trying to actually focus on work and general self-improvement (I'm going for walks... and actually looking forward to/enjoying them. WTF!?!), so I haven't much time to update the site as much as I want. Still, over the past couple of months, I managed to:
- Add a page showcasing my CD collection
- Tonight, I updated this page with some recent additions to my collection — including some reflections and reviews!
- Add a page to the teen mag shrine with the back issues of teen magazines I've collected.
- I also updated the main page of the shrine to include space for links to other pages once I add more content!
- Do some light housekeeping, cleaning up code and trying to make the sidebar menus consistent.
I'm hoping to find a little more time to do more work around the site soon. Famous last words haha.
7/12/2022 So I've actually been adding new stuff around the site here and there, but I thought it might be better to only log stuff on this page when I've reached a stopping point with my updates. Over the past few weeks, I've made several fun updates:
- Added a new shrine dedicated to my collection of stuffed dogs!
- Updated the landing page in the beauty section, and added a page dedicated to my perfume collection.
- Added a fun little sticker machine game to the Britney shrine.
- Cleaned up the code on the homepage a bit.
I'm starting to get inspired for new content again, but have to get better about cleaning up my code and doing housekeeping stuff on the backend. Work has been busy, but I'm hoping to be able to keep chipping away at different sections in the coming weeks!
5/12/2022 I'm on a roll! I actually came back the day after my last update to make some of these changes, but I didn't get the chance to come to a real stopping point worthy of an update. But through my work over the past few days, I figured out some code stuff that helped me do the rest of these updates:
- New layout in the Poppy shrine!
- Created a landing page for the music section.
- Did a slight redesign on the art page.
I'm really happy with how the site is coming along and with how my HTML skills are improving! Only now I want to go fix all my messy code haha. Hope to have a more significant update soon!
5/04/2022 OK, so it is a new month, but it hasn't been an entire month since I last updated, haha. And I actually added quite a few things today!
- Created a special section for graphics and photos in the Poppy Shrine.
- Added Poppy desktop wallpapers to the new section.
- Added some pop culture- and vaporwave-inspired desktop wallpapers to the main graphics section.
- Refreshed the homepage — reorganized a bit and added links to the new content.
Also, I decided to try bullet-style updates in this section. We'll see if it sticks, haha.
Hope to add more stuff soon!

4/27/2022: It has been way too long since I've updated. I have a lot of fun plans for the site, but work has been super busy and stressful lately, and now that the weather's warmer, I'm trying to get out and enjoy it on my weekends. But I'm hoping to be able to commit some time to adding some fun new pages to the site soon.
In the meantime, I went ahead and added a links page to the Barbie shrine today. Just a little something so this site isn't totally dead. I was partially inspired by the first look at Margot Robbie in the upcoming Barbie live-action movie, which made news today. The cast and crew of that movie is so random, I'm so interested to see how the movie turns out.
I'm also excited to see how this site turns out when I finally make time to do more with it, haha. Hopefully the next update won't be months from now.
1/22/2022: Can someone tell me why I decided to add so many random navigation menus throughout my website? I just had to go through and manually update every link to the homepage I decided to include in various sub-menus, despite the fact that I have a main menu on every sub-page. lmao. But at least I got them all updated!
I was doing this tedious work because, as you may be able to tell, I resdesigned the main theme of the site! Part of the redesign was changing the index to a splash page, with I think adds to the AOL vibes (it's inspired by the AOL sign-in screen) and also gives me a chance to give the site's requirements. My home page can now be viewed at main.html.
Now that the redesign is done, I'm planning to do a lot more work on the site soon! Including, unfortunately, likely some more housekeeping (I want to be sure all those main menus are consistent). But I also have some fun stuff coming. I have some new digital art to add, as well as some older graphics I finally transferred from an old hard drive onto my PC. I may also launch another site soon, but I'm still thinking that through. Stay tuned!
1/11/2022: I figured my first update of the year should be finally doing something with the music section. I had originally planned to do a "songs of the summer" playlist last year, but it turned into an overall look at songs I enjoyed last year. I plan to do more with this section and this piece (like adding videos or a spotify playlist so you can actually hear the songs lol), but I'm happy to finally get something up in this section. If you check it out, hopefully you find some songs you like!
